JK Lakshmi Cement, majbooti guaranteed, is a company coming through the ranks of the JK Organization, a very well diversified Indian industrial house having a strong hold in the fields of tyre, cement, paper, power transmissions and sealing solutions, dairy products and textiles, in India as well as abroad.
Concern
JKLC’s plants are highly cost efficient and amongst the lowest cost producers in the cement industry. Material movement, be it raw, in-process or final, plays a major role in Cement Factories. As a result, a lot of vehicular movement is observed within and from the factory. Conveyors too play an important role in material movement.
Considering the continuous vehicular & conveyor movements, JKLC team wanted to ensure that they have a proper control over the drivers driving these huge industrial vehicles and also the workers who had their duties scheduled around the conveyors. Productivity, quality, health & safety go hand in hand, the Safety team at JKLC was aware of this & wanted Visual Management Solutions for the same, as a result they contacted Visualmitra.
Visualmitra Role
Visualmitra proposed Facility Visual Management Project (FVM) to JKLC, and the JKLC team welcomed the idea of getting their Facility improvised through Visuals Display Boards.
Visual Management Experts were sent on-site at JK Lakshmi Cement Facility in Surat to do the Gap Analysis and all the requirements related to Factory Visual Management were identified and shared through a detailed Survey Report.
JKLC had already identified that they needed something effective that can control the Vehicle Movements & also inculcate a sense of safety culture within the premises. The same was found by Visualmitra team during the site survey.
As a result, Visual Display Boards displaying the vehicle Instructions were made in local languages to make sure that the Local Workers & Truck Drivers could understand & follow it easily, as Language has never been a barrier for Visualmitra. Safety Signage’s related to the Road Safety & Conveyor Safety were identified from the vastly covered range of Visualmitra catalogues.
Display size, type of Material Quality & Installation at desired location as per the site requirement are key parameters in terms of the Factory Visuals Displays like Posters, Signage’s, Compliance Boards, Informative Boards etc. & all these things were covered in the Survey Report shared by Visualmitra to JKLC.
